Free event for Sex Assault Awareness & Prevention Month

The community is invited to attend a free event at the library in Parker on April 16 as part of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month. “Time to Take Action” is a free community event that will discuss consent, what to do if you are assaulted and what to expect if you report an assault. Teenagers are encouraged to attend, but the event is not appropriate for small children.

Panelists include a Special Victims Unit prosecutor, a sex assault nurse examiner, a sheriff’s detective and a therapist. The Chaparral High School players will present a short anti-violence dating play.

Where: 20105 Mainstreet, Parker
When: April 16, 6 p.m. — 8:30 p.m.
